Kilroy Travels

Travel Inspiration in a new digital packaging.

KILROY Magazine is KILROY Travels' own travel magazine and has been published twice every year in Danish, Swedish, Norweigian, Suomi and Dutch for the past four years.

In connection with the development of their new website KILROY has a desire to implement a type of filing system, which enabled it's users access to previously published articles.

"The magazines contain large amounts of information about a variety of destinations, and the majority of this information is equally relevant now as it was at the time when the printed magazine was published. This is why we chose to convert all previous magazines to e-Pages and make them accessible on our website, to open up for existing knowledge and inspiration" explains Simon Foensbo, President and Creative Director with the Denmark based ad agency Coma. Coma is an e-Pages partner and is behind KILROY Travels new website.

Out in the Public Sphere Again
KILROY Travels purpose, with this component of the website project, was to use the online thought process as it applies to their magazine; by converting all the content to e-Pages KILROY avoids the loss of old articles and they are able to deliver an extra value added service for visitors.

"All the magazines, of course, exist in their old printed version, but no-one really reads the four year old editions. By digitalizing the content, KILROY has been able to provide an easily accessible archive, a library if you will, visitors to the website can search within all the articles that have been published over time. This provides a great value add for clients and allows them to find all the information and inspiration that they need" explains Simon Foensbo.

Why e-Pages
KILROY chose e-Pages for several reasons.
"Visiolink was first and foremost selected because they deliver a great product. From a technical perspective we did not need the most advanced solution, but we needed something that worked - and e-Pages does. Also, there was a great economical advantage tied with the selection of Visiolink's products compared to other providers they have contacted" explains Simon Foensbo.
Coma, who also uses e-Pages in other connections and for other clients, was responsible for the conversion of data in this assignment. "From a technical standpoint it is fairly easy to do the conversion and reformatting, all digital platform projects come with their share of challenges but Visiolink always meets a challenge with dedication and commitment and we always make it to the finish line" explains the President.
